It's MONDAY again. ::SIGH:: I don't know WHY the Mommeh has to go to WORK.
ALL she does there, is SIT around in a CHAIR on WHEELS. She can sit AROUND in a chair on wheels at HOME. Or she could take ME with HER. I am extra GOOD at SITTING in a chair on wheels. I could put my FURS on the chair on wheels at WORK. Or maybe I could even SIT on her LAP. That would be very HELPFUL I'm sure.

I WONDER if the chair on wheels at WORK would have a FOOD dish CLOSE to it like the chair on wheels at home does? Hmmmm. Maybe I'll just stay HOME.

Well, I GUESS maybe you have been WONDERING where I've BEEN. Oh you know, I've been busy HANGING around some of my old HAUNTS. I mentioned AWHILE back that my FAMILY spent the WINTER somewhere WARM and cozy. I like warm and COZY!Ever since we've been BACK in the NORTH country, I've been COLD. And yes, I HAVE been in the DRYER once in AWHILE since we've been HOME. Mommeh may THINK that's BAD, but the TRUTH is that the MOMMEH is the BAD one!!!

Mommeh has been IGNORING my BLOGGIE! I do not LIKE her EXCUSES about WORKING and CATCHING up, and all those other BLAH, BLAH, BLAH words! Bad MOMMEH! BAD Mommeh! Fashion Friday and Find the Kitty

Today I'm modeling a different kind of collar. It's a cat scrunchie. Do you think it looks like a turtle's neck? Me neither, but that goofy Mommy said it did. It is a cute look for fall.
Do you think it looks like a clown's collar? Me neither, but Daddy thinks it does. He knows very little about fashion.

It has a lovely fish-shaped diamond pendant and pink bell attached. I have not decided if I like to wear this or not. It just depends on my mood I guess.

Now, on to something different!

I found a cute little meme while cruising the innerwebs last week. It was over at NY Renovator's site. I thought it was really cute and pretty simple to play. Find the kitty in the picture. OK, so I did a really easy one this week to kick it off.

I like to sit here. For some reason, I am not suppose to sit here. I especially enjoy jumping up here when we have company and they're eating foods. I can see them real goods from this spot. Sometimes, they put the extras over here. I don't understand why this isn't suppose to be a very good place for me. Sometimes, rules are no fun.

Whew!! I hope I got my RSVP sent in time to attend Sweet Praline's birthday PARTY on FRIDAY! She's going to be 14 years old. She LOOKS so much YOUNGER. Anyway, it's going to be a SLUMBER party! Yippee. When you RSVPeed, you were suppose to send a PICTURE of you SLUMBERING in your FAVORITE place.

I have a LOT of favorite SNOOZING spots, but I'd have to say ONE of my very FAVORITES is in my REESE box. It has my FACE on one SIDE...

My Superhero Sidekick

At long last I will reveal what was in my package from the Casbah Kitten! It was this super duper superhero kitty. She has a blue cape just like me! She's a little bit round, just like m....never mind that part! Ahem! Batman has Robin, I have Tubby Tabby!

We have been having tons of fun together. I had a whole big bunch of cute pictures and even a video of me opening my package...but that's what the compooper ate last week. Yikes! Oh, well. If that's the worst that's gonna happen, life is good.

Speaking of super duper things. We are getting ready at our house for a super duper adventure of our own. If you do not see us posting everyday, do not be alarmed. We will still be around visiting and dropping by to see all of you.

Hi furriends and neighbors! It's me, Reese! Sorry I have been MIA lately. My compooper decided to take a little down time, and didn't mention it in advance. The compooper took all my pictures with it too. It's been an interesting couple of days. I want to let you know that I will be back to speed as soon as possible. I miss you all very much.

In the meantime, I'd like to show you a few awards I was lucky to receive recently. This first award is from Jasmim. It's the THIS BLOG MAKES ME HAPPY Award! Gee, that's sure nice. I'm glad I can make someone happy. That little Tuxedo kitty kind of looks like me! I believe I'm suppose to list 3 to 5 things that make me happy. I will just say, I'm happy to be back with my blogging buddies!! That's worth a million other things that make me happy.

THEN...Did you hear that the JET-SETTING little one is back home? That's right! MELVIN over at Mouchois just returned from his TRIP to the left COAST. Rumor has it that he was RUNNING around with a much...ahem...OLDER women. Do tell. You look a little TUCKERED out there, MELVIN.

Hi furriends and neighbors! How is effurybuddy after the No Cats on the Innernets Day? I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted. I was going around visiting and commenting on so many bloggies yesterday! I think all the kitties I know made a post just to prove a point. Some even did two posts! There was a rumor that Bl*gger suspended kitty picture uploads for awhile. I think what really happened is that we were all uploading so many cute cat pictures, that we overloaded the system. Well enough about that, let's talk about me, me, me!

Do you like my toofies?? They almost sparkle as much as my lovely diamond necklace. They match the sparkle in my eyes.

Do not worry, my lovely diamond necklace is not choking me. I just have a lot of fabulous floof around my svelte neck.

See my whiskers? I have a beard too. It's pretty wonderful to be me, if I do say so myself.

Tuesday Treat Day

After I take a nap, I like to have a treat. What kind of treats do you like? Has your beans ever made you a treat? Here's a recipe for some homemade treats. Has anybody ever tried this one?

Homemade Kitty Yum Yums:

Ingredients
1/2 Cup dry cat food
1/4 cup warm water or milk
3 T Catnip

Directions
Put the cat food and milk in the bowl and mix well. Pour out any extra water. Sprinkle the catnip over the mixture and mix well. If you like you may bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 min.

Oh, hi effurybuddy! Guess what? I was down at the local FLUFF and BUFF having my furs groomed when I heard all kinds of ~~gossip~~ news. Far be it for me to stir the rumor pot, but I feel it is my duty as an upstanding member of the pet blogging community to report any ~~juicy tidbits~~ important information. Ahem.
WELL...This first one has me blushing a bit. Did you realize that JANE over at the Casbah kittens has had some WORK done? You can barely tell, unless of course you STARE right at her. Don't tell her I told you...

THEN you would not believe the fable that has been spun over at poor Angus Mohr's house. All THAT happened just as he was expecting a houseful of guest from the WEINERMOBILE to drop by for some pulled pork SAMMICHES. As usual, ANGUS pulled it off with his usual charm.
And this last one...well, I just have to laugh. SOME PETS are scratching their heads and whispering over the antics of Dennis the Vizsla. What is he all about, they wonder. I will simply say that DENNIS is a GENIUS and one of my bestest furriends. I LOVE him and I know you will too.

My mission--if I decide to accept it--is to discover if these sheets are lined or machine dried. Hmmmmm....There is a fresh fragrance that does not seem to be Bounce. There is a certain rough but cozy texture to the sheets. I awwww, I awww.....My eyes are getting heavy! Oh, no!! Perhaps I've been mysteriously hypnotized. This is just one of the many dangerous side effects of undercover work. Well, I think I'm going to have to give in and take a nap. That is the only way I can unravel this mystery!

Hi there, effurry buddy! It's Fashion Friday! I'm wearing my Rock Wear this week. I love my purple ringer tee with blue sleeves. A flying heart with the words "Rock -n- Roll Sweetheart" are on the back. It's a comfy outfit just right for rocking out at a concert or a dance party! You can tell by my smile (in fact, I'm almost giggling) that I enjoy wearing this tee shirt.

Fashion Friday - The Ladybug Hat, Take 2

You may recall that earlier this summer, the mommy brought home this little lady bug hat. I didn't care for it too much at that time. In fact, I let my Stunt Double wear it. Well, you know how Stunt Double can be. She took to that hat immediately and wears it day and night.

The other day I was playing with Stunt Double and things got a little rough. Somehow or another, I ripped the hat right off of her head.

I always knew it would look better on me than on her. The proof is in the picture:
It's a girl's prerogative to change her mind after all. 'Nuff said.

Thankful Thursday

Oh hi there, effurybuddy! I was just looking out the window.

As you may know, my Mommy Bean has been on jury duty the last two weeks. Although I've been having a lot of fun and some silly adventures while she's been gone during the day, I really am ready for her to stay home now. I thought perhaps I should go on down to the courthouse to see what was taking so long....

Well, I could see that the judge certainly seem to have everything under control and didn't need my help. (Don't let this get out, but I was a little intimidated by that judge.) It turns out, I was right. The judge was just getting ready to rule and make an award. Guess what that means? Yep, Mommy's all done with her jury duty!

Speaking of awards...I've received a couple of them from some great blogging buddies.

This first award is the "Your Blog is Satin Award". I got it from Loki and Suzi Q Cat. THANK YOU. I think you are both as smooth as satin too.
Then, I got this really sweet award called the "You're a Gem Award" from CoCoRue. Thank you, my furriend. I think you have a sparkling purrsonality brighter than a diamond.

A Tent on Tuesday

Look! I got a tent. It's made out of blue HELLO KITTY fleece. It has a comfy lambs wool floor. Perfect for hiding, playing or taking a nice nap. This little wigwam is the perfect size for me. Anyone would be proud to have it. It's a tee pee like no other.

Memories on Monday

So here it is another week and the Mom Bean is still on jury duty. Hmmmmm. What should I do? Last week I was able to get away with all sorts of fun things while she was gone during the day. I rode the Fun Bus down to the casino almost everyday. One day, they had a drawing for a car. I did not win it though. That's okay, because I cannot drive YET.

Imagine my surprise when I went into karaoke bar at the casino and found that my friend Sam works part-time there. You'll never guess what?! I got up and sang, "Feelings"!

♪♫ ♪ Feeeeeeelings! Whoa, whoa, whoa, feeeeeelings! Whoa, whoa, whoa ♪ ♫ ♪

Finally Sam said, "Whoa, Reese. Enough with the "Feelings". I guess they'd never heard anything quite so beautiful before. I don't know what came over me, I don't usually do things like that. I think it was that fresh squeezed tuna juice from a can that Sam serves up. He is one heck of a barkeep.

Although the audience was very appreciative of my singing talent, I think I'll probably wait awhile before I go back again. You have to keep them wanting more, you know.

Who knows what this week will bring. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The other day, the Mom bean went shopping. Guess what she saw? She saw Daisy's Hallmark card at Wal-Mart!! It was the very last one, so the mom quickly picked it up and brought it home. Now, I can see Daisy all day long. Here Daisy and I are having a little girl talk while we sit on top of the fridgey. I have so much fun with Daisy.

It is red with black spots. It has purple trim and a cute little bow. I think that's my favorite part. I've been going to modeling school, and you can see it is paying off. I Got A Passport!!

Guess what, furriends and neighbors? I got a passport! I got the passport card, rather than the regular passport book. The card is only used for travel by land or sea between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. I had to submit two recent color photos along with my application. I actually sent three..

In my first picture, I had my eyes closed. So they didn't pick that one to use.

In the second picture, I looked very serious. They didn't use that one either.

I think they used the perfect picture for my passport!

Friday Fashion - The Professional Look

Hello furriends! As you can see, today's fashion theme is the "professional" look. I am an office-ready ladycat in my ladybug tie. It's simply a shame that my ladybug hat is too small for my large-brained head, because that would be just the perfect ensemble! Instead, it sits atop Stunt Double's head. But I digress (or is that digest?) Anyhoooooo

Why, you might ask, am I donning this particular look? Well, it seems that Mommy bean has been summoned to jury duty for the next two weeks. She said she can not schlep to the court wearing the usual shorts and tank top. I certainly hope this will not be interfering with my schedule of service I expect from her on a daily basis. I may just have to speak to the Judge. Which one is it? Joe Brown? Judy? The People's Court Judge?

Fashion Friday - Rocks!

Hi friends! I wanted to show you my latest fashionable accessory. This is a harness. I never really pictured myself as a skull and crossbone type of kitty, but I'm kind of digging it! I think the part I like the best is the colors! Pink, red and white. This little harness vest has Velcro closures at the neck and waist. You can see the D ring on the back where you would hook a leash. I feel like a Rock Star!

Here, I give it a try outside with the leash attached. It seems very comfy. I think this harness would be more suitable for the fall season. I'll stick to my traditional string-bikini style harness for these hot summer days. Hahaha. Did I say that out loud?

Okay, I'm ready to go in now!

Monday Movie - My Outside Adventure

I am an indoor kitty and am perfectly happy to live there. During the summertime, when the sun is shining and the birds are singing, I enjoy going outside once in awhile. Usually, I go out in my play pen enclosure where I feel safe. Mom is always close by in the event something ~~scares~~ bores me and I want to go in. Yesterday was especially exciting because I got to go outside while wearing a leash. Here's a video of how it went:

I've been married for 32 years. Quite an accomplishment since I'm only 39 years old--yeah right!
We do not have any human children.
Reese is an only child. However, we lived on a farm for many years and had the good fortune of parenting many different types of pets such as deer, antelope, camels and wallabies .
I was a long-time member of a shopping cart drill team. We traveled all over and participated in many parades including two Presidential Inaugural Parades, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and London's New Year's Day Parade.
I live across the street from my brother and his family, who lives next door to our parents.
I'm addicted to reality TV.
We are hoping to spend the winter in sunny and mild Arizona this year.

Fashion Friday - A Salute to Phantom

For the past week or so my friend, Phantom from The Chronicle of Woos, has been wearing a t-shirt. He looks really cute in it and everything, but he is not wearing it to be fashionable. He had a little bit of sick and had to go to the V-E-T recently. The doctor did some sort of something or other to him and now he's got to wear a t-shirt for a little while until he's all healed up. Unlike me, he's not really fond of wearing clothes. In a salute to our friendship and to show him just how much fun wearing clothes can be, I have donned a shirt in his honor today. I picked my blue (to match Phantom's eyes) Hawaiian floral print shirt. It has little fish buttons down the front and surf boards on the pocket. I am showing you a picture of the shirt by itself because when I'm wearing it, all I want to do is practice surfing. Needless to say, it's pretty hard to sit still when you are surfing. I did not want to think about lighting, angles and posing. See, isn't it cute?

Go ahead and say it..."That's a guy's shirt!" That's what I think too. The momma bean said we'll just accessorize it a bit and make it a little more girly. Whatever, dudette. (That's my surfer talk.) I know the best accessory to any outfit is confidence.

Okay, on to my surfing. Look out! Here comes a big wave now!!

I was talking to my stunt double the other day and the subject rolled around to talent. I realized that I have been lax in practicing one of my amazing skills and I really should get back to it. Did you see my lovely new dress?! It's really comfy and I like wearing it. It's made out of pink jersey and has a black lacey ruffle along the bottom. It also has a pretty black and pink lacey flower at the neckline. On the back it says, "Material Girl" in sparkling silver. It has ruffles over the shoulders. It is so cozy, I can easily fall asleep while wearing it.
Did somebody say something about chicken? I am wide awake now and my versatile frock is a purrfect outfit to wear to dinner.

I love the fridgey. It one of my favorite things. It holds all kinds of yummy treats like chicken, tuna and ham. On top of it sits my air conditioned strainer that I like to sit in when nobody is looking. Shhh....don't tell anybody. The Mom bean never thinks to look for me here, so it's like a secret hiding spot for me. I can see all kinds of things from way up here.

There's one thing I've noticed. The lady bean doesn't always remember to dust up here. Hmmmmmph! So, it is left to me to take care of this area. Here is a video of me hard at work:

Yikes! Here's what came up for me. This ~~hunk of junk~~ fabulous old truck is something my daddy bean thinks is marvelous. Yeah, it's a real diamond in the rough. I'm not sure why we even have a picture of it other than perhaps we needed a new photo for our dartboard. Anyway, enough about that!

Monday Movie- Outside

I used to live outside before I came to my forever home. I don't really miss it all that much, but every once in a while I get a case of wanderlust.

I have a nice big enclosure that I like to use when I'm outside now. It has a solid roof, a sunscreen and a perch. Oh, did I mention there's also enough room for the mommy bean to be inside with me too? Anyway, I really enjoy it and feel very safe.

Reese's Box Day

A few weeks ago there was a very special event in the cat world...International Box Day! Hooray! I was not able to participate on that day, so today I would like to share with you some pictures of my very favorite box. This box is the perfect fit for me. I love the feel of cardboard on the inside of the box. It is just so cozy. Mmmmm. Mommy bean fancied up the outside of my box. It has my name on it R-E-E-S-E. The Daddy bean says, "Are you sure that doesn't say, F-R-E-E?" Haha, very funny. NOT. It has a little cartoonish picture of my face on the front. (Really, I think the lady put it on the back...but we won't mention that to her.) There's a little thin black blankey on the inside.

Normally, I prefer that my box be placed on a chair in front of my special window where I have optimal viewing of the outside kingdom. Today, however, I let Her move it to the front room for this extensive and exhausting photo shoot. I'm quite tired now, so I think I'll just go ahead and take a nap while I'm here.

Summer is just days away, and it is definitely one of the busiest times of the year for parties and gatherings. It hasn't always been easy for me to be a socialite. Being born with a tuxedo, does not an aristocat make! You see, I am very shy and quiet by nature, so I've had to undergo some, shall we say, etiquette lessons to learn the proper things to say or do in social situations.

Here are a few little tips and tricks that have really helped me:

When entering a group event, find someone else who seems to be isolated or even just temporarily disengaged from conversation. The food dish or water bowl is a good place for this. Go ahead, introduce yourself!

Hello, nice to meet you. Do you ever blink?

Stand at the edge of a group until you have something to add to the conversation. I know this requires putting your natural reserve aside, but take the plunge. It will be worth it.

I hope these few tips will give you a good start to your busy summer social schedule!

Monday Movie - Keeping Fit

Many have asked me how I am able to keep my svelte figure. Well, I do what I can. I try to control my diet, drink plenty of water and I always get my beauty sleep. As many of you kitty girls out there know, when we get past a certain age we sometimes need help.

I try to hit the kitty workout gym three times a week. I have a personal ~~slave driver~~ trainer that puts me through my paces. She has a special "gymspastic" class she likes me to participate in. Here is some actual footage of this week's class.

Saturday Surprise

You may remember that sometime ago I mentioned an outside kitty at my house. This kitty has been around since the beans moved here 6 years ago. They says she's feral and probably came from one of the neighboring farms. She visits often and although I'm sure it's my charming personality that draws her, I suspect it may also have something to do with the food and water the beans supply her. This past winter had been especially bad with zillions of inches of snow falling every single day.

The beans felt sorry for the outside kitty and let her stay inside the garage. This is the garage and the pathway shoveled to the garage so they could get in to take care of her.

Winter is over and spring has sprung. The outside kitty has returned to the outside. She still spends the nights in the garage with the door closed, and can go in and out of it whenever she wants during the day. She doesn't roam too far. Here she is lounging in the raspberry bushes while mom does the gardening.

The beans took her to the V-E-T and got her fixed up. It took a little while to catch her. The mom beans says the outside kitty is quite cunning. She lets the beans get close, but not too close. I guess it's because she's lived the feral way all her life.

The beans call her "Shelby". Next thing you know, she'll be in the house.

I Like Things That Sparkle

Here it is Friday and time to get my pawty jewelry ready. I was thinking about wearing these gold sparkly beads, because they accentuate my eyes. Then I remembered, that gold is so last year. Maybe these purple ones would be better. They certainly would offset my black coat nicely.
Oh, phooey! I can't decide. There's just too many options. Maybe I'll just go au natural? Hmmm. That would create quite a scandal.

By the way, does anybody know where the pawties are this weekend? My invitations must have gotten lost in the mail. You don't think.......that I wasn't invited do you? Doesn't matter. I'll crash!
